Why have you chosen to seek election to the Swallow School Board of Education?

I was appointed to the Board in June 2023 and presently serve as Treasurer. My youngest son attended Swallow School (now at Arrowhead) and the experience was transformational to his life thanks to the individualized instruction and attention he received from the Swallow Special Ed staff. I am grateful for the excellence of Swallow in this community and I want to ensure Swallow continues in this successful tradition.

What personal philosophies and experiences do you have that will help you best represent the Swallow electorate?

I am fiscally conservative and I believe in the importance of financial prudence. I believe in parental rights. I believe in conducting ourselves with excellence and integrity. I have a lengthy career in executive leadership including entrepreneurial start-ups, strategic planning, and financial management. I was a founding Board member of Lake Country Classical Academy, a highly successful start-up school that we created, launched, and financed from scratch.

What do you perceive to be major strengths of the District at this time and what strengths, experiences, and qualities do you possess that will support continued District efforts in these areas of strength?

Swallow has a history of 179 years of educational excellence. It enjoys unparalleled brand recognition in Wisconsin as one of the finest K-8 schools. I call it, “Private school education at public school prices.” Swallow is understood to be a unique and very valuable asset to this community. Swallow has among the finest teachers and administration in the state. Swallow also benefits from our wonderful community of fabulous families that care deeply about their
children. I seek to preserve and extend those strengths.

What do you believe are the major issues facing the District at this time and what strengths, experiences, and qualities do you possess that will better position the District in navigating these issues?
